Meanwhile, she moved out of the property early December, but still has personal belongings there and has never turned in the keys or paid rent for Dec and Jan. I am concerned about the furnace with the cold weather - don't want the pipes to freeze. Am I permitted by law to enter the property periodically to check that the furnace is still running and the pipes aren't frozen? The tenant keeps threatening a lawsuit if I enter the property.
